HISTORY
The Georgia Fenton Glass Collectors Club, Ltd. was organized in 2001 by
an enthusiastic group of Fenton Art Glass collectors that appreciate the
beauty of the fine hand made Art Glass. GFGC is incorporated as a
domestic nonprofit corporation in the State of Georgia.
PURPOSE
To promote activates and informed discussions in which individuals
interested in Fenton Art Glass can participate in the collecting, study,
understanding and enjoyment of the handmade glass by the Fenton Art
Glass Company for the last 100 years.
MEMBERSHIP
Membership is open to anyone interested in learning about Fenton Art
Glass, whether you’re an avid collector or just impressed by the beauty
and history of the wonderful glass produced by one of the great U. S.
glassmakers. Membership is on an annual calendar basis, October to
October. Individual membership is $10 or $20 per household.
MEETINGS AND ACTIVITIES
The GFGC meets quarterly, and provides an opportunity to meet other
Fenton collectors and share in the fellowship of collecting. Meetings are
built around a Fenton-related theme, and provide an opportunity to see
examples of rare and unusual Fenton glass, to learn more about glass-
making, and to increase our knowledge and awareness of this uniquely
American glass enterprise. GFGC members represent a broad range of
knowledge and experience in glass collecting and we all learn from each
other!
